What a day!

I love school.

Let me reiterate: I LOVE SCHOOL!

My house was quiet for hours and hours. I almost forgot I still had one kid at home. She's practically perfect. She'd be perfect, but she's succeptible (sp?) to her youngest brother's influence. He happily taught her to say "shut up."

But now he's in school and only Dora and Blue can corrupt her...until 3 pm, and then he comes home and she's terrorized again.

On the writing front, I tweaking chapter 9. I couldn't figure out how to justify an action/event by a minor minor character, so I prayed about it (I'm not one to do that usually) and got an answer. Just cut the action/event and move to later. Duh. Sometimes I'm so dense.

I also got a request for a partial.

Kinda cool.

Now I better give my first 75 pages a quick read-through before I send it off tomorrow.

Congrats on the partial :)

I know what you mean about the house and quiet. I just put all FOUR of the kids in school for the first time. I love the quiet. Makes the weekends seem a lot longer now though. Of course, with my husband working 72 hours on, 72 off, he's home during the week now - so instead of quiet, I'm listening to him play rock songs from his computer. (siiiiiiiiiigh)

Wow. Peace and quiet. I can hardly wait. We only have about 4 more years to go before we can ship ours off to school. In the mean time though I'm having fun writing about her.

Gina, I don't think there's a mom out there that don't agree with the quiet house symdrom. Congrats on the request and good luck.
