I haven't been intentionally avoiding blogging...but I also have.
My two boys are in Oklahoma for the month, so I figured I'd use the--
Okay, is there a reason why the toddler is walking around butt naked? I didn't take her diaper off. I just told Rhyinn to get me a diaper for Niley, and Niley said, "No." She's an exhibitionist. Actually all my kids were nudies at her age.
Anyhoo, since the boys have been gone, I've made hair bows for Rhyinn (she needed some for school) and pillows for different bedrooms. I still have more toss pillows to make. In my attempted to be more organized, I made bookmark-sized labels. For example, in Rhyinn's closet are tags that say School Dressess, Church Dresses, Shirts, and Jackets. Niley's side has the tags Dresses, Casual Wear, and Jackets. Jadan's closet has Church Shirts, School Shirts, Jeans, and Jackets.
My intention--umm, hope--is that they'll know where to put things because of the tags. Well, Niley won't know becuase she's too little to put her clothes away, but her siblings will know where to hang her stuff. :-)
And I made a few more tags for the pantry, utility room, and linen closet.
It's nice to think about being organized.
During the last couple weeks, I also went through the Rubbermaid tubs of out-grown clothes. Jadan and Niley now have clothes from their siblings. I also put together some things to give to a church family (including some of the hairbows I made for Rhyinn). In my process of pulling out hand-me-downs, I made a list of what clothes the kids need for school this fall.
Oh, as I've been working on house stuff, I've mulled my rom-com. Came up with a good sub-plot that will help add conflict to the main plot.
I've researched one-sheets, helped two gals with theirs, and judged seven Lone Star contest entries (with one entry to go). Last night I even read Tamera Alexander's newest release, FROM A DISTANCE. It's more of a historical with romantic elements than a true romance like her previous trilogy was.
So that's what's all been going on in my life and why I haven't blogged for a couple weeks.
Now I must go grocery shopping. The toddler is wearing the last diaper in the house.
